The biography of Mike-C, who's real name is Michael Cody Sandefer of course started when he was born. From a young age, he was always very much in tune with music. His mother, used to say that when music came on, no matter what Mike was doing, he would drop it and begin dancing. Thank god Mike didn't want to be a dancer, because he wouldn't be here today, doing what he does.
It took Mike a long time to get his act together, and with his release of a single "who made the rules" at age 17 to a local crowd in Paris, Tennessee. Very little noise, if any at all came from that track. At age 18, Mike released a song called "Mullenac" making fun of a local in Cookeville, TN. That song was more received than he previous attempt, but still got very little noise.
Mike would go on to rediscover himself in music. Upon the writing and recording process of "Red White Relapse" and the outstanding reaction it would get on Acid Planet and Soundclick.com, Mike felt he had found himself a niche. He continued down the dark road, creating each track after another until he had completed the album Dark Things Worth Doing. Mike had this album ready to go, but he didn't feel like it was good enough. Mike would turn around and put that album away and take a 2 year hiatus from working with music at all.
One day, Mike got back into the fold. He made a different sort of dark beat, and named it Programmed To Kill. Mike decided to record this one immediatly, and put it up on his myspace.com account. It got instant success. Over 500 messages, emails, and even 85 people that wanted to add him as a friend. Sexy Killer Records from Florida even wanted to include Programmed To Kill on their compilation cd to send off around the world.
A little bit of time would go by and Mike would start to change. Mike purchased a cd which he credits to have changed his life and that brings us to the first studio session at BG Chophouse Studio.
It came time for Mike to get into the studio and start working on "Darkwave Decisions" and getting it recorded. After a few tracks, Mike was disgusted with himself. Mike recalls that he felt like the chapter in music with his Darkwave Industrial sound had passed. Mike retreated back home to think about things....the rest is history and the album is due out soon! :)
